Place: Chaplin Town Hall, 6 am - 8 pm

Candidates: Governor: Dan Malloy, Ned Lamont
Lieutenant Governor: Nancy Wyman, Mary Glassman
Secretary of the State: Denise Merrill, Gerry Garcia
Comptroller: Kevin Lembo, Michael Jarjura
Judge of Probate: John McGrath, Jodi Thomas

Those candidates listed first on the above list are the officially endorsed candidates for the office. The second listed candidate is the challenger. The Chaplin Democratic Town Committee has endorsed Dan Malloy, Nancy Wyman, Denise Merrill, Kevin Lembo and John McGrath.

Please come out to vote on primary day, whoever you wish to vote for. It's been awhile since we have had so many candidates running in a primary. If you are unaffiliated, you can register as a Democrat or a Republican up until Aug. 9 in order to vote in the primary.

You can register at Town Hall during business hours: 9 - 3 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 1 - 7 pm on Tuesday. The Town Hall is closed on Fridays.

Summer Family Concert
When: Satuday, July 17, 5pm - 8:30pm
Where: Garrison Park, 495 Phoenixville Rd, (Route 198) Chaplin
Join the Windham Performing Arts Alumni for a fun-filled family concert, part of the Chaplin Recreation Commission and Ribbits summer concert series. Everyone is invited to this musical family event that features members of the Windham Performing Arts Alumni bringing an eclectic mix of music to the stage. Food provided by Ribbits at the snack bar.

SELECTMAN'S CORNER
The Chaplin budget has been the focus for several weeks. The Board of Finance, working with consultants and the Board of Selectmen, have amassed information to create a bare bones budget. In light of decreasing State and Federal funding we were able to dodge a bullet for the next fiscal year. »more
